G.R. (Randy) Akin graduated in 1978 from
Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and graduated in 1981 from Baylor School of Law with a Juris Doctor and
was admitted to the Texas Bar in the same year. Mr. Akin is licensed to practice in both State and Federal Courts. He is
Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and further Board Certified as a
Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Akin has been Board Certified since 1989. He is a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation, Member of the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, a Special Assistant Disciplinary Counsel to the Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline, and has had an active trial practice involving over 125 civil jury verdicts on both the plaintiff and defense side. Mr. Akin is still currently practicing law.
