G.R. (RANDY) AKIN is a West Texas native, being born in Odessa, Texas, on February 21, 1956. Mr. Akin studied law at Baylor University, earning his B.A. in 1978 and his J.D. in 1981. He was a member of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity while at Baylor. Mr. Akin was admitted to the Texas bar in 1981.

License and Admissions:

• Licensed in the State of Texas.
• U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas.

• Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Randy Akin has performed over a thousand mediations. He is a member of the Gregg County Bar Association and served as a director in 1985-86, and as Secretary-Treasurer in 1986-87. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
