G.R. (RANDY) AKIN is a West Texas native, being born in Odessa, Texas, on February 21, 1956. Mr. Akin studied law at Baylor University, earning his B.A. in 1978 and his J.D. in 1981. He was a member of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity while at Baylor. Mr. Akin was admitted to the Texas bar in 1981.
